General Info

Nestled in the heart of South Richmond Hill, New King Garden at 110-05 101st Ave is a go-to spot for anyone craving authentic Chinese flavors with a cozy, welcoming vibe. From the moment you step inside, it’s clear that this isn’t just any eatery-it’s a place where comfort food meets consistent quality, making it ideal for both casual lunches and hearty dinners. Whether you’re dining solo, with family, or bringing a group of friends, the restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere instantly makes you feel at home.

One of the standout highlights of the menu is the Chicken and Broccoli, which arrives perfectly tender and coated in a savory, slightly garlicky sauce that clings beautifully to each bite. It’s the kind of dish that keeps people coming back, balancing freshness with the kind of flavor that reminds you of home-cooked meals. Equally tempting are the Ribs, glazed with a subtly sweet sauce that caramelizes just right, giving every bite that satisfying stickiness without being overpowering.

For noodle lovers, the Chicken Lo Mein here is a must-try. The noodles are soft but not mushy, tossed with crisp vegetables and juicy chicken, creating a harmony of textures that makes each mouthful enjoyable. And if you’re in the mood for a little twist on tradition, the Pierogi brings a comforting, familiar touch with its tender dough and flavorful filling, proving that New King Garden isn’t afraid to blend classic Chinese dishes with a hint of international inspiration.

The restaurant shines not just in its dishes but also in its approach to service. Lunches here are a delight-quick enough for a midday break yet never feeling rushed-while dinner offers a more leisurely experience perfect for relaxing with friends or family. What customers say?

“ I used to live right next door to this place. It is one of my favorite places to have Chinese food in Queens. Sometimes, I even make the trip all the way from Staten Island to come here [yes, because I have nothing better to do :) ] Their food can be a bit greasy but I figured I only live once. And honestly, who eats Chinese if isn't on their cheat day while wearing sweats? I love their chicken and broccoli. It is my favorite thing to order from them. While, their chicken lo mien is good, it tastes like the other standard Chinese food take out places. Seriously, their chicken is soft and almost melts in your mouth. The broccoli is cooked to perfection, it is neither too soft or stiff. The staff is very nice and attentive. I have been ordering here for years and even after moving -- 8 years later they still remember my voice and order. ”

“ SOLID neighborhood Chinese food. If you live in this side and unsure which Chinese restaurant to choose as your go to, highly consider this place. Very respectful staff as well, I was their Friday after Prayer and she immediately pointed out the soup that had pork noticing my Islamic hat. :-) ”

“ I’ve tried a ton of chinese food spots all over NYC - this is the best one. The most consistent and well cooked orders you’ll ever have. Been coming here since I was a kid and truly nothing has beaten it. If you think your neighborhood spot is better, it’s not. ”

“ Always have to recommend the chicken with rice. The first time I had, it was better than expected. The cashiers might seem a bit hard to approach, but the more and more I go, they always greet with a warm welcome that makes it feel like home. ”
